SEND at Jenyns

At Jenyns, we support pupils with SEND by:

  • improving access to daily education
  • ensuring better access to information for both children and families
  • ensuring the admissions process is fair.

You can view our SEND information report below and the adaptations we make in our curriculum to ensure that our provision is fully inclusive and all children succeed.

SEND in Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire have a SEND strategy and their vision is clear... "In Hertfordshire we want all CYP with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to be included and valued, so that they can live happy and fulfilling lives. We will have services that will make a difference to families because they are joined up, inclusive, easy to access, close to home and adapt to meet individual’s needs. Hertfordshire will be a county where we’re proud to say that SEND is everybody’s business."

Accessibility Plan

At Jenyns School we are committed to working together to provide an inspirational and exciting learning environment where all children can develop an enthusiasm for life-long learning. We believe that children should feel happy, safe and valued so that they gain a respectful, caring attitude towards each other and the environment both locally and globally.

The Accessibility Plan shows how access is to be improved for disabled pupils, staff and visitors to the school within a given timeframe and anticipates the need to make reasonable adjustments to accommodate their needs where practicable
